Cathy has her Masters in Mental Health Counseling from the University of South
Florida and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida. She has
undergone Bioterrorism Trauma Intervention Specialist Training as well as training on
Critical Incident Stress Management and Play Therapy. She is a former Florida Child
Protection Professional and also has extensive training in Grief, Loss and
Bereavement. She is currently a member of the American Counseling Association, the
American Mental Health Counselors Association and the Association for Play Therapy.

Cathy has provided support to clients needing assistance with issues including, but
not limited to bereavement, grief & loss, stress, anxiety and depression. She also has
experience working with abused and neglected children and is proficient in play and
sand tray therapy with this population. For the past 7 years, Cathy has provided
comfort, support and guidance to terminally ill individuals and their families. She has
assisted these individuals fulfill their life’s journey as well as counseled their families
after their tremendous loss.

As the owner of Counseling with C.A.R.E., Cathy provides counseling with
Compassion, Acceptance, Respect and Empathy to all individuals served in a
confidential, comfortable and supportive atmosphere. She offers a highly personalized
approach tailored to each client’s individual needs. The goal of therapy is to alleviate
distress and stimulate the growth needed for client’s to live happy and productive lives.
